About the artist

Jean Vadal Bentson is an artist-painter.

Born in Michigan one of nine children playing inside with a huge box of Crayola crayons and white paper was a favorite pastime .

She loved the beauty of the Michigan countryside with its woodlands and many streams and lakes , this became her inspiration for her landscapes . 

Moving to California in her late twenties the beautiful landscape of the Sierras became her new inspiration.  Wildflower fields , streams , Yosemite vistas and waterfalls fill her paintings now.

She feels truly blessed that God has given her this life which she lives with her husband ,  and little studio dog Poppy May .
